Leaked screenshots offer early peek at Motorola DROID RAZR Ice Cream Sandwich update

Motorola has said that it'll be updating the DROID RAZR to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but there's no word yet on when the upgrade could begin rolling out. The good news for those of you waiting for the update is that a whole mess of screenshots purportedly showing off a Motorola-flavored version of ICS on a RAZR has leaked to help pass the time until it officially arrives.

Posted over at the DroidRzr forums by user dragon974, the images show a mashup of Android 4.0.3 with a custom Motorola skin. For example, there are new icons for apps like Phone and Browser, but the launcher and folders look fairly similar to what's found on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and its stock version of Ice Cream Sandwich. There are also several Verizon apps (VZ Navigator, Backup Assistant, Mobile Hotspot) found in this build.

The source of the images didn't say anything about them when they were posted, so we don't really have any information about the build besides what we can gather from the screenshots. That said, the build in this shots looks to be coming along nicely, and it's good to see that Motorola still has some ICS elements in its custom version of Android 4.0. Whether or not that'll be the case when the upgrade actually begins rolling out to consumers remains to be seen, but hey, it doesn't hurt to hope. You can find several a couple more shots of the DROID RAZR ICS leak down below, with several more available at the DroidRzr link below. What do you all make of the RAZR's version of Android 4.0 so far?
