The 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note is known for its size, but if a post on Samsung's own site is accurate, an even larger Note device may be in the works. As you can see above, Samsung posted details about its MWC 2012 Developer Day on its official website, explaining that the event will include information on the S Pen and bada 2.0 SDKs as well as the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 10.1, and the bada-powered Wave 3 and Wave Y. The Galaxy Note 10.1 name is definitely a new one, and the fact that it's paired with the original Galaxy Note suggests that it may be S Pen-friendly.

That's not the only mention of the Galaxy Note 10.1 that's been dug up. The folks at The Verge managed to discover a casting call for a Samsung commercial that was evidently set to shoot in February. The listing mentions that Samsung wanted a "teen student" to use the Galaxy Note 10.1 to "record, take pictures, edit." Additionally, the listing says that the Galaxy Note 10.1 ad would show the device being used for education, financial planning and art. Both the casting call and the aforementioned Developer Day guide have since been yanked.

So that's about all we know about this mysterious Galaxy Note 10.1 so far. Obviously Samsung's already got a 10.1-inch tablet in the Galaxy Tab 10.1, but the Note 10.1 could be a good option for folks that are in need of a tablet and are intrigued by the S Pen functionality found on the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note. Of course, there's still a lot we don't know about the Galaxy Note 10.1, but if the device is indeed real and is coming to Mobile World Congress, it won't be long before we hear more about it.
