HTC EVO Shift 4G, Samsung Replenish updates announced by Sprint

Last month saw a handful of Sprint Android handsets receive updates that, among other things, contained "Security Updates" that are likely meant to remove Carrier IQ from the devices. Those updates are now continuing into February, as Sprint today announced that the HTC EVO Shift 4G and Samsung Replenish are set to receive software bumps of their own. The full changelogs for the two updates are as follows:
HTC EVO Shift 4G Software Update - 2.77.651.3
Enhancements/Fixes:
- Security Update
- Updated Peep client (to align with Twitter)
- Battery life improvements
Samsung Replenish Software Update - FA19
Enhancements/Fixes:
- Security update
Sprint says that update notifications will begin being sent out to EVO Shift 4G owners on February 7th. However, folks that want the update as soon as possible can try to initiate it manually starting today by going into Menu > Settings > System updates > HTC software update. Meanwhile, the Replenish update actually began rolling out yesterday, and Sprint says that it'll be released in stages. All Replenish devices are expected to receive the new software within 10 days. If you happen to own either the EVO Shift 4G or Replenish, be sure to hop into the comments section below once your device's particular update arrives and let us know how it's working for you.
